Job description
About the Company
Two Dudes is a dynamic men's grooming brand fueled by New Zealand botanicals and effective active ingredients. Founded five years ago in a garage, the company has expanded rapidly to feature its natural skincare, deodorant, haircare, and shaving products in over 2,500 stores across New Zealand and Australia. The mission is to transform men's health one bathroom at a time by cultivating the most talked-about men's brand among social groups.
Role Overview
As Growth Manager, you will own the entire direct-to-consumer (DTC) channel’s profit and loss (P&L) and shape the growth framework of a scaling consumer brand. This role involves end-to-end ownership of paid acquisition, creative strategy, on-site offers, customer retention, and coordinating a unified Growth Calendar which aligns various marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead paid user acquisition across platforms like Meta and Google, focusing on maximizing contribution margin through full-funnel strategies.
- Drive the paid creative strategy by guiding content teams to deliver high-performing ads and establishing iterative, hypothesis-driven creative testing systems.
- Manage media buying outcomes by collaborating with fractional media buyers, using advanced attribution and analytics tools.
- Maintain and coordinate the Growth Calendar, aligning paid, content, retention, brand campaigns, and partnership activities into a cohesive rollout schedule.
- Develop and administer the offer calendar involving bundles, launches, and promotions designed to optimize lifetime value and complement retail operations, with rigorous P&L modeling.
- Lead conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives by directing development partners and sometimes executing hands-on improvements.
- Implement DTC campaigns that also enhance physical retail presence and promotion efficacy.
- Own the customer retention strategy, including subscription models, churn reduction, and CAC to LTV optimization using tools like Klaviyo and managing external retention agencies.
- Integrate systems, data analytics, and AI-driven workflows to enhance growth processes, maintain dashboards, and support weekly reporting.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants may have titles such as Growth Manager, Digital Manager, Media Buyer, Paid Performance Manager, Creative Strategist, Retention Manager, or eCommerce Manager. You should possess a broad growth skill set with a strong focus on creative strategy, combined analytical ability, and project management skills. You are self-motivated, capable of independently building systems, deeply familiar with the full digital growth ecosystem, comfortable interpreting and modeling financial outcomes, and eager to prove your potential.
Experience & Skills Required
Between 3 and 6 years of relevant experience in growth, eCommerce, or performance marketing is preferred. However, exceptional candidates with less experience but strong growth achievements are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to drive measurable growth metrics is essential.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary starting from NZ$120,000, commensurate with experience.
- Performance-based bonus opportunities tied to growth milestones.
- Clear career progression path toward Head of Growth with increased title and compensation.
- Ownership of the DTC P&L and meaningful leadership responsibilities.
- Direct collaborative opportunities with company founders.
- Remote work option for residents in New Zealand and Australia; optional desk space available at Christchurch headquarters.
- Complementary Two Dudes products in generous supply.
- Potential for international business growth and career development.
Additional Information
The role demands ownership and autonomy with little micromanagement. Successful candidates will be tasked with a practical evaluation involving offer modeling and creative testing scenarios. The company values trajectory, hunger, and demonstrable impact over tenure.
Application Process
Applicants should be ready to discuss a personal growth win, analyze standout DTC brand strategies, and explain instances where they challenged conventional agency best practices. They should provide a CV and LinkedIn profile, with a cover letter optional.
