Role Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer specializing in Serverless technologies to develop the core product across both frontend and backend domains supporting fal’s Serverless platform. This role emphasizes product involvement, requiring close collaboration with Product and Infrastructure teams to architect and deliver reusable, scalable solutions trusted by thousands of enterprise clients in production environments.

This is a critical technical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end ownership of fal Serverless as it rapidly scales, offering substantial autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to a new vertical within a fast-growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain essential Serverless user interface features including dashboards, logs, observability tools, configuration panels, and usage tracking.
• Architect and implement backend APIs that underpin the Serverless product experience.
• Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability for customer-facing applications.
• Collaborate closely with the Infrastructure team to ensure product features integrate seamlessly with platform capabilities.
• Take full ownership of features from conceptual design through production deployment and ongoing iteration.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency across both frontend and backend engineering domains.
• Strong skills with TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and Next.js frameworks.
• Experience delivering complete feature lifecycles in live production environments.
• Ability to efficiently pivot between UI development, backend engineering, and performance optimization tasks.
• A product-focused mindset prioritizing clean architecture and scalable maintainability.
• Comfort working within a fast-paced environment with minimal procedural constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in building developer platforms or infrastructure-related products.
• Familiarity with observability tooling such as logging, metrics, and tracing in production settings.
• Experience with distributed systems, container orchestration, or cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of real-time systems including streaming logs or high-throughput data pipelines.
• Exposure to technologies like Kubernetes, Prometheus, Datadog, or gRPC.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of ownership.
