Haast Autonomous is pioneering an autonomous aircraft network focused on rapid medical logistics delivery. The company is creating long-range vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft, alongside autonomy software and operational infrastructure, to efficiently transport critical medical supplies between hospitals, labs, and healthcare centers on demand.

Your Role

As an early team member in a small, fast-moving environment, you will shape the foundation of Haast's engineering culture, processes, and partnerships while directly influencing the transition from prototypes to a live medical logistics network. We seek highly motivated individuals who prioritize ownership, act with urgency, and desire a system-wide impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the operations portal using React and TypeScript, covering dashboards, real-time maps, flight requests, facility management, and inventory-backed supply flights.
• Architect and enhance the backend systems powered by Supabase and PostgreSQL.
• Increase robustness of essential workflows like aircraft allocation, mission planning, telemetry data intake, and live dashboard refreshes.
• Integrate and develop the Python bridge that interfaces the platform with ArduPilot-based aircraft and simulation environments.
• Implement testing, enhance logging, increase observability, and ready the platform for dependable production use.
• Collaborate closely with autonomy and simulation engineer teams as both the real-flight and digital twin systems evolve.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend development.
• Solid experience working with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Track record of delivering full-stack web applications into production environments.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and handling multi-tenant data architectures.
• Comfortable using Git for version control, managing environments, deployment pipelines, and debugging tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Supabase backend services.
• Familiarity with Python programming.
• Knowledge of Mapbox or similar mapping libraries.
• Hands-on experience with real-time dashboards, WebSockets, or telemetry data pipelines.
• Understanding of Linux-based services, SSH, and cloud deployment processes.
