Food Counter Attendant

About the Role

Tim Hortons in Truro, Nova Scotia is seeking a dedicated Food Counter Attendant to join their team. This is a full-time, onsite position focused on providing excellent customer service and ensuring efficient food preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders accurately.
• Package food items for take-out orders.
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items according to established procedures.
• Portion and wrap food items for serving or sale.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients.
• Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other service items to designated areas and set tables.
• Maintain records of food quantities used for inventory management.
• Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables using manual and electrical appliances.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in appropriate storage areas like refrigerators and freezers.
• Handle and store cleaning products safely and correctly.

Requirements

• No specific degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
• Previous experience is not mandatory as training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
