About the Role
Amazon is looking to hire an Event Program Manager to join its Internal Corporate Communications Events team. This position focuses on coordinating significant internal gatherings aimed at aligning employees with business goals, fostering community, and celebrating achievements within the company. The role merges creativity and analytical approaches to successfully plan and implement such events.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of Amazon internal events, including budgeting and financial reconciliation.
- Work collaboratively across departments to execute strategic plans and meet timelines.
- Liaise with both internal teams and external vendors to oversee event logistics effectively.
- Provide reports and updates to leadership on event progress and outcomes.
- Supervise event setup, execution, and teardown to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain detailed event documentation such as standard operating procedures, best practices, and post-event reviews.
- Handle vendor management including contract oversight and payment processing.
- Create templates and processes to standardize event workflows.
- Support development of frameworks for streamlined event execution.
- Adapt quickly to changing needs while maintaining consistent program progress.
- Build and nurture relationships across multiple organizational levels.
- Bring innovative ideas to enhance attendee experiences at events.
- Travel may be required based on event locations.
About the Team
The Internal Corporate Communications group serves as the primary source for internal communications and events for Amazon's global corporate workforce. They deliver news and strategic communications designed to keep employees informed about company culture and business developments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional marketing experience outside of internships.
- Proficient in utilizing data and metrics to guide improvements.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and scale cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from start to finish.
Preferred Skills
- Background in employing customer research and quantitative data to validate assumptions, forecast outcomes, and evaluate marketing effectiveness.
- Familiarity with marketing and analytics platforms such as Marketo, Tableau, and Salesforce for segmentation, targeting, and reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a salary range from $82,700 to $141,100 annually, supplemented by signing bonuses and restricted stock units.
