Role Overview

The Business Affairs Manager specializing in third-party asset management supports clients' Business Affairs teams by assembling cleared third-party content and ensuring such content meets predefined client criteria. This process guarantees marketing communications comply with local advertising laws and cultural sensitivities across various markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Business Affairs teams to monitor content needs per project.
  • Aggregate and organize pre-cleared content for client evaluation.
  • Verify that cleared content complies with local advertising regulations and cultural standards according to client criteria.
  • Suggest alternatives aligned with client briefs when necessary.
  • Review all communications to ensure they correspond to cleared assets.
  • Manage clearance requests and prioritize items for client review.
  • Use client rights management systems to track assets and share with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update databases related to clearance information and client brand standards.
  • Keep abreast of client clearance and brand guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with clients for final approvals and assist in managing internal stakeholders to secure required consents.
  • Deliver regular tracking reports on cleared assets to clients.
  • Update clients promptly on any issues affecting project timelines and propose possible solutions.
  • Communicate consistently with Content Production leads to address challenges and share approved content for execution.
  • Manage a high volume of work, including multi-language content versions.
  • Assist in training new team members.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of a degree or diploma or equivalent 10+ years of relevant experience within advertising or entertainment sectors.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property rights including copyright, trademark, and licensing, particularly concerning digital content and technology.
  • Fluency in English and Indonesian, both spoken and written, to handle local geo requirements.
  • Proven ability to draft and review licensing agreements.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with adaptability to fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience thriving in creatively driven organizations.
  • Current knowledge of licensing issues across multiple media platforms including print and digital.
  • Team-oriented with the capacity to work accurately under pressure.
  • Openness to adapt to company working practices after training.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and results-driven attitude with high energy and positivity.
  • Excellent memory and strong eye for detail.
  • Ability to perform well in dynamic, demanding creative and production settings.
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard 9:00-18:00 hours and occasionally on weekends.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite at client offices as required.
