Primary Responsibilities
- Design and oversee projects ensuring mining operations comply with environmental laws and guidelines

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science mandatory
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in environmental assessment or consulting, preferably in mining or hydroelectric projects
- Proven field experience with endangered species studies, wetland delineation, and impact assessments
- Familiarity with specialized statistical and analytical software for environmental data
- Understanding of applicable federal, provincial, and local environmental laws and workplace safety standards
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and physical capability for demanding fieldwork including overnight travel
- Must successfully clear medical and substance tests
- Language proficiency aligned with operational requirements
- Registration eligibility as a Biologist in Training and potential professional registration required regionally
Preferred and Additional Qualifications
- Master’s degree in environmental sciences or related biological disciplines considered an asset
- Prior experience specifically in environmental assessment advantageous
