Electrical Draughtsman

Role Overview

The Electrical Draughtsman will collaborate closely with the Technical Manager, Principal Engineer, and Design Engineers to deliver high-quality electrical and ELV engineering layouts for projects on schedule. This role involves organizing, producing, and ensuring the quality of electrical CAD drawings while coordinating design efforts across various teams and maintaining project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage electrical and ELV engineering layouts for multiple projects.
• Prepare lighting, power, cable tray, and conduit layouts accurately.
• Create schematic diagrams including earthing, fire alarm, and public address systems.
• Perform lighting calculations using Dialux software.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and procedures.
• Communicate progress and report to the responsible manager or engineer.
• Oversee and guide junior technicians in preparing engineering deliverables.
• Monitor for potential clashes or design conflicts within layouts.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess 5 to 8 years of professional experience in electrical system design and drafting.
• Able to develop complex technical drawings independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, environmental protection, and quality standards.
• Flexible and dependable under changing deadlines, capable of meeting project schedules.
• Committed to professional growth and expanding technical skills.
• Proficient in English for both written and verbal communication.
• Familiar with software including AutoCAD, Dialux, and preferably Revit.
• Capable of mentoring and supporting junior team members effectively.

Required Education and Certifications

• Diploma in any specialization or B.Tech/B.E. in any engineering field.
• Certification in AutoCAD and NCVT/ITI qualifications.
