Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair key mechanical components of CNC machines, including Lathes, Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs), and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). This includes working on spindles, ball screws, linear motion guides, turrets, Automatic Tool Changers (ATC), and Automatic Pallet Changers (APC).
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults such as axis backlash, spindle vibration or overheating, failures in turret indexing, hydraulic or pneumatic pressure drops, and oil or coolant leaks.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities like checking lubrication systems (including metering valves and pumps), replacing wipers, adjusting belt tension, filtering hydraulic oil, and verifying machine leveling.
- Perform precision testing tasks including machine leveling, alignment inspection using specialized instruments, measuring backlash, spindle runout assessment, and systematically recording all preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including the ability to interpret circuit schematics, rebuild cylinders, and troubleshoot valves.
- Expertise in handling high-precision mechanical assemblies with skills in guideway scraping, blue-matching, and bearing fitting.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed machine assembly drawings, spindle cross-sectional blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
Eligibility and Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess an ITI certification in any specialization.
Compensation
The offered salary package ranges between INR 225,000 and INR 350,000 annually.
