About the Role

Join Kraft Heinz as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator at their Hawke's Bay location in New Zealand. Primary Responsibilities

  • Keep health, safety, and environmental documents, records, and policies up-to-date and readily available.
  • Compile and deliver monthly health and safety reports.
  • Organize health and safety committee meetings and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
  • Encourage safe practices, including the identification of hazards and reporting of near misses.
  • Ensure the site complies with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company health and safety standards.
  • Maintain hazard and risk registers; conduct risk assessments to validate control measures' effectiveness.
  • Monitor audit, inspection, and compliance results, managing corrective actions through completion.
  • Support incident reporting and investigation, determine root causes, and oversee implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Manage contractor safety processes such as inductions, approvals, safety plan reviews, and on-site compliance.
  • Assist with environmental compliance activities including monitoring, hazardous substance documentation, improvement initiatives, and progress tracking against site objectives.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds relevant health, safety, and environmental qualifications or has comparable hands-on experience in a site-based capacity.
  • Experienced in maintaining HSE documentation and monthly reporting, using appropriate tools or systems.
  • Thorough understanding of legal and regulatory health and safety compliance applicable to site operations.
  • Skilled in conducting risk assessments, maintaining registers, and verifying effective controls.
  • Proven track record in audits and inspections, with competency in formulating and executing corrective actions.
  • Experienced in incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and the management of preventive actions.
  • Familiar with contractor safety processes, including induction and safety plan scrutiny and compliance oversight.
  • Knowledgeable of environmental compliance, hazardous substances, record keeping, and improvement programs.
  • Additional certifications or training in incident investigation, risk assessment, or environmental standards are advantageous.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand with full rights.
