About the Role
We are seeking a performance-oriented Ecommerce Product Manager to steer the strategic direction, development roadmap, and operational success of our proprietary App and Website platforms dedicated to Vishal Mega Mart's products, spanning Apparels, General Merchandise, and FMCG categories. This role requires end-to-end responsibility for catalog management, customer behavioral analytics, profit and loss accountability, go-to-market planning, and platform enhancements aimed at boosting revenue and elevating customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the product vision and roadmap for the in-house Ecommerce platforms.
- Identify and address customer pain points and product deficiencies to refine user experience.
- Prioritize product features balancing business impact, user needs, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate intensively with technology, design, marketing, and category teams to achieve project goals.
- Manage comprehensive catalog operations across Apparels (Men, Women, Kids), General Merchandise, and FMCG sectors ensuring precise listings, quality content, accurate attributes, pricing, and stock availability.
- Optimize product search, filtering, discovery, and merchandising strategies to enhance conversion rates.
- Analyze customer behavior patterns, segmentation, and purchase tendencies through funnel metrics such as Traffic, Add To Cart, Conversion, and Retention.
- Leverage analytical tools to make data-driven decisions improving the customer journey and increasing lifetime value.
- Hold full responsibility for Ecommerce platform's profit and loss, steering revenue growth, margin improvements, and cost management.
- Monitor customer acquisition cost, contribution margins, discount effects, and return on investment, coordinating with Finance and Category teams for forecasting and planning.
- Design and execute go-to-market plans for launching new product categories, app feature upgrades, promotional campaigns, and seasonal sales events.
- Partner with marketing to drive digital campaigns, promotions, and customer loyalty initiatives ensuring product positioning aligns with brand messaging.
- Champion growth initiatives focusing on expanding market share, acquiring and retaining customers, and increasing revenue per user through continuous testing and optimization, including A/B testing.
- Serve as a liaison among Business, Technology, Marketing, and Operations departments, steering sprint planning sessions to ensure timely delivery of functionality.
- Coordinate closely with catalog experts and analytics teams to maintain platform excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline from a Tier-1 institution.
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing Ecommerce products.
- Preferably experienced in retail or omnichannel business environments.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau is advantageous.
