Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to oversee multiple engineering teams worldwide, define our technical direction, and spearhead the development of scalable cloud-native software. This role requires fostering high-quality engineering practices and supporting the growth of engineering leadership within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture multiple software engineering teams across various global locations to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Guide the technical delivery of our SaaS product portfolio ensuring alignment with business strategies.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, and other leaders to develop customer-centric solutions.
- Promote engineering best practices encompassing Agile methodologies, DevOps, continuous integration/deployment, and cloud-native technologies.
- Attract, mentor, and develop engineering leaders, facilitating their career progression.
- Implement and monitor KPIs and OKRs to evaluate team efficiency, product quality, and operational excellence.
- Oversee engineering budget management, resource allocation, and organizational expansion.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing engineering teams.
- Proven success managing distributed and multicultural engineering groups.
- Strong expertise in building and deploying cloud-based SaaS solutions, specifically using AWS and/or Azure platforms.
- Deep understanding of Agile development, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and modern software design principles.
- Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and lead effective engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for influencing both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience or familiarity with artificial intelligence/machine learning technologies or regulated industries is considered advantageous.
