Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to oversee multiple engineering teams worldwide, define our technical direction, and spearhead the development of scalable cloud-native software. This role requires fostering high-quality engineering practices and supporting the growth of engineering leadership within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and nurture multiple software engineering teams across various global locations to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Guide the technical delivery of our SaaS product portfolio ensuring alignment with business strategies.
Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, and other leaders to develop customer-centric solutions.
Promote engineering best practices encompassing Agile methodologies, DevOps, continuous integration/deployment, and cloud-native technologies.
Attract, mentor, and develop engineering leaders, facilitating their career progression.
Implement and monitor KPIs and OKRs to evaluate team efficiency, product quality, and operational excellence.
Oversee engineering budget management, resource allocation, and organizational expansion.

Qualifications and Experience

Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing engineering teams.
Proven success managing distributed and multicultural engineering groups.
Strong expertise in building and deploying cloud-based SaaS solutions, specifically using AWS and/or Azure platforms.
Deep understanding of Agile development, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and modern software design principles.
Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and lead effective engineering teams.
Excellent communication skills suitable for influencing both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Experience or familiarity with artificial intelligence/machine learning technologies or regulated industries is considered advantageous.
