About the Role
As a Delivery and Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, installation, and demonstration of merchandise to customers. This dynamic, non-desk role involves working both indoors and outdoors, interacting with customers, and supporting store operations. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to connect with people in the community.
Responsibilities
- Load, secure, and protect merchandise for transport.
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle.
- Offload, install, and demonstrate merchandise to customers, ensuring they understand its use.
- Provide support to the store by assisting with moving, installing, and picking up merchandise as needed.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
Requirements
- Strong communication abilities.
- Familiarity with electronics and their operation.
- A genuine desire to assist customers and provide excellent service.
- Must be at least 18 years old (in Canada).
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must meet DOT certification requirements (U.S.).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs independently and up to 300 lbs with a dolly.
- Willingness to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Possession of a valid driver's license (CDL not required).
- No overnight travel is required.
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour. Employment is subject to an initial probationary period of three months to assess suitability.
