Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in Kamloops, British Columbia. This position requires the employee to work onsite at our restaurant location.

Language and Education Requirements

• Proficiency in English
• Possession of a secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

Candidates should have between 1 and 2 years of relevant cooking experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate food portion sizes and calculate costing
• Plan menus and estimate required food quantities
• Prepare and cook full meals as well as individual dishes
• Prepare specialized meals for patients following dietitian or chef instructions
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling
• Order kitchen supplies and equipment as needed
• Oversee and supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain detailed inventory and records of food supplies and equipment
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas
• Manage overall kitchen operations efficiently
