Business Development Manager - Electronic Security Systems

Role Overview

We invite applications from experienced sales professionals with strong technical expertise in Electronic Security Systems including CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms. Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems is advantageous but not mandatory. The position focuses on covering Dublin and nearby areas to expand G4S Fire & Security Systems' (G4S FSS) profitability by securing new business and managing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales and order intake objectives to support strategic, profitable growth.
• Identify and close new business opportunities with new and current clients (approximately 60% new, 40% existing).
• Maintain and develop relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in client organizations.
• Conduct site surveys, assist with system design and prepare accurate quotations.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospective and current customers.
• Coordinate with installations and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
• Comply fully with company policies, particularly regarding environmental health and safety, quality standards, and reporting procedures.
• Research market trends and competitors to enhance G4S FSS's market positioning and inform business planning.
• Provide timely and accurate sales pipeline forecasts and monthly reports.
• Manage internal collaboration to leverage company resources for sales growth.
• Maintain customer information systems (Salesforce) and regularly update management.
• Negotiate client commercial agreements within approved parameters.
• Support bid and design teams in proposal development, system design, and tender submission.
• Offer technical design, cost estimating, and purchasing assistance for projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven sales experience interacting with customers at various levels.
• Technical sales expertise in security and/or fire systems; multi-discipline skills preferred.
• Familiarity with top market CCTV and access control products.
• Strong track record of negotiating and securing contracts up to 2 million Euros.
• Professional, solution-oriented attitude that exceeds customer service expectations.
• Expertise in developing and converting sales pipelines.
• Success in both new business development and account growth.
• Experience working with high-end clients and major contractors.
• Excellent interpersonal, team collaboration, verbal and written communication skills, including bid writing.
• Proficient with MS Office applications preferred.
• Minimum 5-year verifiable work history or valid explanations for gaps such as education or self-employment.
• Legal right to work in the UK/EU without restrictions.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Clean manual driving license with no more than six penalty points.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
• Ability to undergo additional government security screening for certain sites.
