Position Summary
This role involves performing various administrative tasks to support vital records, clinical registration, and transportation services within the Washington County Health Department in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Qualifications and Education
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited high school or hold an equivalent certification. A minimum of one year of related administrative, clerical, technical, or secretarial experience is required. Alternatively, candidates can substitute either 30 semester hours of accredited college coursework or equivalent military service experience in relevant staff roles involving independent judgment and interpretation of laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the experience requirement.
Preferred Competencies
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Direct customer service experience in public-facing roles, including handling inquiries and delivering professional assistance.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar for document preparation and administrative support.
Special Expectations
The candidate may need to provide their own transportation to attend meetings, travel to remote sites, and fulfill job assignments.
Selection Process
