mum’s kitchen was established in 1997, working to give an identity to goa’s cuisine. while goa saw the influence of foreign visitors, the restaurants in goa offered all types of cuisine; global, western, continental and indian. this was the motivation to start a movement in goan ethnic cuisine with empowerment for women to move forward and create an identity for themselves. mum's kitchen also introduced india’s first breastfeeding lounge at its premises.
