Role overview
Jiffy Express Inc. is hiring a truck driver for its Grande Pointe, Manitoba location. This is an on-site position, which means the work must be performed at the physical workplace and cannot be done remotely.

Experience
No previous experience is necessary; training will be provided.
Primary duties
- Operate vehicles as part of a two-driver team or in convoy formation.
- Handle the loading and unloading of cargo.
- Check the vehicle’s condition, including tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration equipment, and other systems.
- Carry out emergency roadside repairs when needed.
- Complete inspections before departure, during transit, and after trips, while monitoring the full condition of the vehicle.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks.
- Share updates and instructions with the central dispatch team.
- Maintain records for freight details, service hours, distance driven, and fuel use.
- Secure cargo by tarping it and ensuring its safety throughout transport.
Licences and certifications
- Air Brakes Endorsement.
- Class 1 or Class A driver's licence.
Truck and trailer experience
- Dry bulk hauling.
- Flatbed hauling.
- Refrigerated transport.
- Tractor-trailer operation.
