Role Overview
Join Shadbolt Group as a Trade Assistant in the defence industry based at Burton Workshop, South Australia. We are offering both casual and permanent positions with excellent award rates. This role provides a unique chance to gain practical experience in a dynamic, defence-related setting while working closely with skilled trades personnel within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to tradespeople with daily operational duties.
- Perform general labouring and support tasks on site.
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience as a Trade Assistant or a similar position is advantageous.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to hard work and eagerness to learn.
- Follows instructions carefully and contributes effectively as part of a team.
- Adheres strictly to safety and quality standards.
Mandatory Requirements
- White Card (Construction Induction) preferred.
- Confined Space ticket is compulsory.
- Forklift and Dogman licenses are required.
- Ability to clear full medical and police background checks.
- Australian citizenship mandatory due to defence sector regulations.
- Must have dependable transport and consistent attendance.
- Experience in steel fabrication environments is desirable.
