Role overview
JSW Sports is hiring a seasoned senior specialist to lead commercial partnership growth across its cricket properties. The position focuses on sourcing sponsorships, deepening relationships with brands and agencies, and expanding revenue through well-structured strategic alliances.
Revenue generation
- Deliver the yearly sponsorship and partnership revenue goals for the cricket portfolio.
- Source and convert fresh sponsorship leads from brands and agencies.
- Own the full selling process, including outreach, pitch/proposal creation, negotiations, and final deal closure.
- Keep the sales funnel active and share timely revenue projections.
Partnership development
- Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at brands and media agencies.
- Create customized partnership pitches that reflect client goals and business priorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design attractive sponsorship offerings.
- Maintain strong partner satisfaction to support renewals and long-term engagement.
Market intelligence
- Track shifts in the cricket sponsorship market, including IPL, WPL, domestic cricket, and other leagues.
- Keep a close watch on market trends, new sponsorship openings, and competitor actions.
- Spot category-wise opportunities and suggest approaches to improve commercial outcomes.
Account management
- Oversee important partner accounts and ensure partnership deliverables are executed smoothly.
- Measure partnership performance and communicate the value generated for clients.
- Look for opportunities to grow current accounts through additional services and expanded scope.
Preferred qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a closely related discipline. Experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, or sports marketing is strongly preferred, especially within cricket.
The role calls for a solid network of contacts across brands, agencies, and the wider sports marketing ecosystem, along with strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities. A successful track record of meeting revenue goals and closing high-value commercial deals is essential, as is a strong grasp of the Indian cricket landscape and sponsorship market.
