Role Overview
This senior culinary position reports directly to the Head Chef and Director of Culinary. It is a practical, hands-on role contributing significantly to the kitchen's culture and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate supplies at cooking stations.
- Coach, nurture, and support junior chefs for their growth.
- Enhance cooking workflows to ensure both speed and quality.
- Supervise the quality of dishes during preparation and presentation.
- Uphold rigorous hygiene standards within the kitchen.
- Contribute creatively to menu design and dish aesthetics.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in upscale restaurants or luxury hotels.
- Masterful cooking skills combined with attention to detail in processes.
- Keen interest in sourcing and utilizing local ingredients.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Adaptability to handle dynamic guest requests and menu changes.
- Excellent time management, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- A team-oriented mindset capable of motivating peers.
- Hands-on involvement in daily kitchen operations ensuring memorable guest experiences.
