Overview
Our client, a prominent residential developer in Drogheda, Co. Louth, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to enhance their team. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-quality housing projects by overseeing all commercial aspects from procurement through to final account completion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee commercial and contractual management of residential building projects.
- Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, valuations, and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Handle procurement activities including subcontractor packages and negotiations.
- Track project expenditures, changes, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Prepare and audit interim valuations alongside final account settlements.
- Deliver commercial guidance to project teams to ensure project success.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other internal parties.
- Maintain precise cost monitoring and reporting throughout project duration.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or an aligned field.
- Minimum of 5 years' professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Previous work experience in residential construction projects is highly desirable.
- Detailed understanding of commercial and contractual frameworks in construction.
- Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and analytical thinking.
- Capability to prioritize effectively and meet critical deadlines.
