Role Overview and Responsibilities

Customer Relations

• Give guests a personalized and friendly welcome.

• Listen and respond appropriately to guest feedback and ensure issues are followed up.

Operational Duties

• Prepare dining and preparation areas before service.
• Deliver attentive waiter service during dining.
• Clean and organize restaurant and prep areas after closing.
• Stay informed about dish ingredients and availability prior to shifts.
• Organize workflow to accommodate varying guest numbers and events.
• Maintain equipment in functional condition.
• Conduct regular floor inspections and clear used trays.
• Handle guest orders efficiently via deck phone.

Team Collaboration & Cross-Department Coordination

Work closely and communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, lobby, and banquet teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Commercial & Sales Focus

• Understand and respond to guest needs attentively.
• Enhance customer loyalty through exceptional service quality.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere consistent with the brand in dining areas.
• Recommend and promote food, beverage, and hotel services and offers.

Management and Administration

• Support departmental goals by adhering to hotel procedures and internal audits.
• Help manage inventory of crockery and appliances, minimizing breakages.
• Assist with inventory counts when required.

Hygiene, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the workplace and ensure food safety complying with HACCP standards.
• Follow all safety instructions and equipment guidelines.
• Adhere to hotel security protocols, including emergency procedures.
• Support environmental commitments such as energy saving and waste recycling.

Reporting

This role reports to the Food & Beverage Services Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Vocational qualification in hospitality or food and beverage related studies.
• A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in computer use.
• Fluency in the country's main language and operational English; knowledge of a third language is advantageous.

Salary & Eligibility

The wage is £15.55 per hour, equivalent to £31,535 annually, plus a monthly service charge. Applicants must already be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
