Role Summary

We seek a qualified Maintenance Electrician for our Auckland Airport Services team to conduct hands-on maintenance of baggage handling and associated equipment. The position involves shift work on a 24/7 roster, split into two shifts: 02:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 02:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on airport machinery and equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance jobs promptly and to a high standard.
• Detect system faults proactively and either address or report them promptly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, both on paper and electronically.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and aviation security procedures.
• Ensure work spaces are kept clean and equipment is properly stored.
• Represent Alstef professionally to all partners and stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Must be a Registered Electrician holding a current Electrical Trade qualification.
• Proven experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance, preferably with conveyor or similar industrial systems.
• Knowledge of control systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong team collaboration, initiative, time management, and communication skills.
• Availability to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Dedication to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
