Role Overview

The company is recruiting a Junior Analytics Engineer to become the second member of its fast-paced data team. This position reports directly to the Senior Data Engineer and supports multiple departments across the company including Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product by developing and maintaining the data warehouse, models, and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data models using dbt and SQL-based semantic layers to enable company-wide access to reliable analytics.
• Design, update, and troubleshoot dashboards and reports tailored to business needs across various teams.
• Address ad-hoc analytics requests by extracting, validating, and effectively communicating data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain data ingestion and refresh pipelines linked to external systems such as CRM, finance, product, and marketing platforms, including routine credential and connection management.
• Identify and resolve data-quality problems like missing or incorrect data and failed job executions.
• Provide direct support to colleagues through dedicated office hours and data support channels, facilitating data-driven decision-making for non-technical users.
• Document and maintain clear definitions of models, metrics, and workflows to ensure consistency across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Data Engineer who will provide mentorship and gradually delegate more advanced projects as expertise grows.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 1 to 3 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, data engineering, or business intelligence roles.
• Proficient in SQL, capable of handling complex queries involving joins, aggregations, window functions, and CTEs.
• Working knowledge of Python programming for data manipulation and scripting tasks.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or comparable, and understanding of data modeling principles.
• Competence in building dashboards or reports using BI/analytics tools such as Hex, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase.
• Strong data quality awareness to detect anomalies and verify data accuracy before distribution.
• Effective communication skills to translate between technical details and business requirements for diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage incoming requests while asking thoughtful clarifying questions.

Preferred Skills

• Practical experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Knowledge of ClickHouse or materialized views and skills in optimizing warehouse performance.
• Background in creating or managing ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating APIs from sources like Salesforce, QuickBooks, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics/Ads.
• Experience with Agentic Engineering methodologies.
• Familiarity with Hex as a BI and semantic-layer tool.
• Understanding of data replication/CDC concepts such as Postgres logical replication and scheduled workflows using CRON.
• Experience supporting analytics for Revenue Operations, Finance, or Go-To-Market processes, including metrics such as ARR/MRR, billing, pipeline, usage, or Customer Acquisition Cost.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git) and cloud infrastructure (AWS components like S3 and IAM).
• Comfort with semantic layers and technologies facilitating self-serve or LLM-assisted analytics.

Success Criteria

Initially, the candidate will be responsible for routine data modeling, dashboard creation, and ad-hoc reporting tasks with minimal supervision. Progressively, they will handle more complex projects independently and become a reliable contributor across all company divisions.

• Annual base salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000.
