Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Cochin on a permanent, full-time basis. This individual will play a critical role in analyzing complex datasets and providing strategic insights that guide business decisions. The ideal candidate will have between one and three years of relevant experience, a strong analytical foundation, and capability in advanced data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, and interpret extensive datasets to uncover trends and meaningful patterns that inform business strategies.
• Design and develop engaging visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to effectively present insights to stakeholders.
• Produce both scheduled and special reports delivering actionable insights for various organizational departments.
• Manage and update databases ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers and project managers to establish data requirements and craft analytical solutions.
• Apply statistical techniques and predictive modeling to anticipate future developments and identify risks or opportunities.
• Continuously seek process improvements and suggest data-driven enhancements for operational effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough data validation and quality control to maintain data reliability.
• Document analysis methodologies, workflows, and results for transparency and reproducibility.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• One to three years of experience in data analysis, ideally within IT consulting or software development sectors.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel.
• Experience utilizing data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Capability to simplify complex data and communicate clear, actionable conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present data insights to senior leadership effectively.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their applications.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
