Role Overview
We seek a Contracts Manager to join Seymour Whyte's Operations team in Queensland supporting projects primarily across the Northern Region. This position reports to a seasoned Commercial Manager and presents an excellent growth path for a commercially minded professional aiming to deepen their expertise in contract and commercial management while managing a diverse project portfolio within Queensland.
Responsibilities
- Lead contract change management through assessing and negotiating time and cost effects along with risk allocation, entitlements, and recovery possibilities to enhance commercial results.
- Manage subcontract changes including evaluating time and cost impacts.
- Draft and review subcontract documentation ensuring contractual variations are accurately incorporated.
- Deliver commercial and contractual guidance to project teams.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, or a related field and possess between 5 to 10 years of post-graduate experience in the construction sector or a comparable industry. The role suits those aiming to expand their commercial and contractual proficiencies while engaging with complex projects and strategic commercial challenges.
