Role Overview
The Account Representative will be instrumental in boosting revenue and nurturing relationships with reseller and vendor partners within Ingram Micro. This role involves managing a portfolio of accounts, proactively spotting sales opportunities, and providing outstanding customer service through inbound and outbound communication. Collaboration with internal teams and vendors is essential to ensure customers receive the best solutions while meeting sales, margin, and activity goals. This position is a fixed-term contract lasting until August 31, 2027, covering an internal secondment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and expand a portfolio of reseller customer accounts.
- Meet established monthly financial and sales targets including revenue and gross margin.
- Initiate outbound sales calls to create new opportunities and grow accounts.
- Handle inbound customer inquiries, prepare quotations, and process orders efficiently.
- Develop and sustain strong connections with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell products within the portfolio.
- Participate in vendor campaigns and go-to-market strategies.
- Collect and relay market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive data.
- Ensure prompt follow-up and resolution of customer issues.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards and operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and phone sales abilities.
- Prior experience in sales, telesales, account management, or customer service roles.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Customer-centric attitude committed to service quality.
- Ability to establish credibility and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Motivated, results-driven, and self-starting approach.
- Collaborative team player with solid teamwork skills.
- Experience in technology, IT, or distribution sectors is advantageous.
