Wall and Floor Tiler

About the Role

Australian United Developments Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler with a Certificate III qualification and at least two years of hands-on experience. The successful candidate will perform a range of tiling duties to prepare, install, and finish wall and floor surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing blueprints, measuring dimensions, marking surfaces, and planning the tiling layout
• Preparing surfaces by removing existing tiles, grout, and adhesives, repairing holes or cracks, and ensuring the surfaces are clean
• Applying adhesives to wall and floor surfaces and accurately positioning tiles
• Cutting and shaping tiles with specialized tools for edges, corners, and around obstructions like pipes and fittings
• Verifying correct alignment and consistent spacing of tiles throughout the project
• Applying grout to tiles, then cleaning and removing any excess material
• Installing waterproofing layers where required
• Possibly applying floors made from granolithic, terrazzo, cement, or similar materials
• Creating mosaic patterns by laying colored tiles when needed

Compensation

The role offers an annual salary range from $80,000 to $85,000.
