Educational and Experience Requirements

• No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Applicants should have between two and three years of relevant carpentry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to establish the scope and requirements of carpentry projects.
• Create layouts that comply with applicable building codes using various measuring instruments.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel components.
• Construct foundational elements such as floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roofing frameworks.
• Provide training and guidance to apprentices within the team.
• Prepare estimates for costs and materials needed for projects.
• Carry out maintenance, repair, and renovation work on residential properties as well as wooden structures found in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and similar facilities.
