About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Software Development Engineer 1 (SDE1) specializing in back-end development to spearhead the creation of our next-generation Practice Management platform. This role involves designing and implementing architectural strategies to modernize our platform, ensuring it scales with our expanding business needs. You will be responsible for maintaining vital services essential to our operations and collaborating within an innovative and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create, test, and deploy scalable software using Spring Boot, Java, and cloud technologies.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to develop robust and scalable solutions fulfilling business goals.
Lead the design and advocacy of foundational services that support product features and enhance team productivity.
Perform comprehensive code reviews to uphold clean, maintainable, and efficient coding standards.
Contribute to maintaining high-quality code and evolving the technology stack.
Engage actively in Agile methodologies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Continuously explore and adopt emerging technologies and best practices to optimize development workflows and product excellence.
Leverage AI tools to enhance the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Minimum of one year of professional software development experience.
Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, and algorithms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
Effective written and verbal communication capability, able to articulate technical details clearly.
Preferred experience includes work with Spring framework, version control systems, and relational databases.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive and equitable compensation tailored to your experience, qualifications, role demands, and location through our Geo Zone system to reflect regional labor cost differences. This position falls under Zone 1 (National Average), with a salary range of $80,500 to $86,900 USD annually. Eligible employees can access variable pay and comprehensive benefits packages that prioritize overall wellbeing.
