Scrum Master

Overview

As a Scrum Master, you will guide a scrum team through medium-complexity agile development processes, aligning technical execution with business objectives. Your role is pivotal in enabling teams to overcome obstacles and deliver products that provide tangible business value across multiple business lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discussions facilitating collective decision making, goal setting, and resolving conflicts within the team.
• Proactively manage external dependencies and remove barriers to success by solving complex team issues and implementing innovative solutions, including escalation when necessary.
• Maintain effective communication channels, such as tracker boards, to foster transparency, trust, and a safe environment within the team.
• Drive continuous improvement in team performance through promoting shared accountability for results and addressing productivity challenges.
• Engage broadly in business analysis, user experience, and technical discussions across platforms and influence levels.
• Communicate progress and outcomes across functions transparently; facilitate status updates, demos, and retrospectives.
• Work alongside an Agile Coach to provide coaching and recommend process enhancements to optimize team productivity.

Qualifications & Skills

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Certified Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner certification.
• Minimum three years as a Scrum Master diligently applying Scrum principles and practices.
• At least three years’ experience in software development, project management, business/system analysis, or equivalent professional roles.
• Experience handling medium-complexity projects.
• Proven delivery of projects or programs in Agile or Waterfall methodologies, using influence to achieve desired outcomes.
• Practical understanding of key agile delivery disciplines such as software development or business/system analysis.
