Role Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist the Store Manager in leading a committed team and ensuring delivery of outstanding customer service that supports our brand’s success. This role exists within a fun, friendly, and inclusive retail culture offering many avenues for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and mentorship to daily motivate your team
• Support coaching and skill development of team members alongside the Store Manager
• Ensure a consistently exceptional customer experience by leading from the front
• Promote a strong safety culture focused on Work Health & Safety principles
• Assist in stock management, ensuring processes are respected and stock accuracy maintained
• Help manage visual merchandising standards, maintaining appealing stock displays
• Continuously update your knowledge of pet care, products, and services
• Recruit, onboard, and induct new high-quality team members effectively
• Foster a positive and engaging in-store atmosphere for the team
• Support local marketing initiatives and sponsorships proactively

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in store leadership or a readiness to develop into retail management
• A proven drive to meet and surpass sales goals
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to build motivated, high-performing teams and cultivate a positive workplace culture
• Skill in managing competing priorities efficiently to achieve deadlines
• Commitment to fostering and promoting Work Health & Safety practices
• Sound commercial understanding and business acumen
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain rapport with customers and team members
