About the Role

Join Petstock Munno Para as a Retail Store Manager and guide a dedicated team to deliver outstanding customer service, contributing significantly to the Petstock Group's ongoing success. This role requires a leadership mindset committed to fostering a positive, enjoyable in-store atmosphere and achieving high team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction and inspiration to your team through hands-on leadership and mentoring.
  • Coach team members to enhance their skills and product knowledge continually.
  • Ensure every customer experiences outstanding service by leading through example.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture within the store.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of capable new team members.
  • Effectively manage inventory to ensure accuracy and uphold stock integrity protocols.
  • Stay informed about pet care, product offerings, and services to actively support team knowledge.
  • Promote a fun and supportive work environment that motivates employees to enjoy their roles.
  • Engage proactively with local marketing initiatives and sponsorship opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in a comparable retail leadership position.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to build and maintain a motivated, high-performing team and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
  • Capability to manage competing priorities effectively and ensure timely task completion.
  • Commitment to implementing and upholding workplace health and safety practices.
  • Sound business acumen and flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with both customers and staff.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial phone screening with recruitment team members.
  • Face-to-face interview with potential manager to discuss fit and qualifications.
  • Pre-employment checks including two reference verifications and police clearances.
