- Work closely with Change Management teams to ensure that all releases adhere to organizational protocols, audit requirements, and ITIL best practices.
- Confirm release readiness by verifying approvals, comprehensive testing, documentation completeness, support frameworks, deployment plans, and rollback strategies prior to implementation.
- Monitor the execution of releases, proactively addressing risks, issues, and interdependencies, escalating concerns as needed, and aiding in incident resolution during deployment windows.
- Keep release documentation, communication updates, performance metrics, and reports current while assisting with post-release reviews and continuous improvement projects.
- Promote the creation of standardized release management processes, governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and identify automation opportunities across company platforms.
Required Skills and Experience

- Familiarity with ITIL practices, especially in Release, Change, Incident, and Problem Management, along with experience in formal Change Management and Change Advisory Board (CAB) governance.
- Proficiency with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as BMC Helix for managing change requests, release records, approvals, incidents, and workflow management.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models, enabling assessment of release readiness, dependencies, and rollback plans.
- Experience managing release schedules, deployment plans, documentation, and checklists.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with ability to build strong working relationships across technical and business groups.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking capabilities with a keen eye for detail and ability to deliver quality outcomes.
- Exposure to SAP releases (ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform) or related ERP systems and possession of ITIL Foundation certification (version 4 preferred) are advantages.
