Job Summary
This role involves working in an industrial environment, both indoors and outdoors, performing routine tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily compressive strength tests on hardened concrete samples.
- Carry out pre- and post-pour inspections on products daily.
- Monitor production processes as necessary.
- Support activities such as stripping, setup, and pouring of products when required.
- Communicate with management regarding process enhancements, recurring errors, and quality issues.
- Take on additional duties, temporary or permanent, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent educational credential.
- Prior experience in quality control within a relevant industry.
- Prefers candidates with ACI (American Concrete Institute) or PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) certification; must pass ACI Concrete Field Testing certification within three months if not already certified and maintain it thereafter.
- Basic proficiency with computers.
- Capability to comprehend and follow simple instructions and effectively communicate with coworkers.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds periodically during the workday.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
