A prominent Irish construction firm is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a major residential development in Cork. As Phase 2 of a significant €90m-€100m project is about to begin, this role offers an exciting chance to join a well-established team and significantly impact a key regional housing project.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the appointed Quantity Surveyor will oversee commercial aspects of the project. This includes managing subcontractor procurement, preparing valuations, handling contract variations, producing cost reports, and finalizing accounts. Collaboration with site and project managers will be critical to meet commercial goals while sustaining positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Experience with main contractors or developers is essential.
• Proven commercial insight with expertise in cost control and subcontractor package management.
• Residential construction experience is considered a strong advantage.
