Position Overview
We are recruiting four full-time Intake Coordinators at our Delray Beach location. This role involves performing a range of clerical and patient-facing tasks to ensure smooth operational workflows and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct registration duties including receptionist and secretarial tasks within the medical office environment.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of patient eligibility information and medical records.
- Serve as a primary communication hub liaising between patients, medical personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Manage administrative data entry into the electronic medical records (EMR) system and coordinate various medical service activities.
- Support patients by addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Regularly review and optimize appointment schedules to enhance efficiency.
- Update patient demographics in organizational data systems, ensuring photo identification and insurance cards are properly scanned.
- Ensure all required consent forms are signed and digitized within the electronic health record system.
- Initiate communication with patients regarding benefit coverage and appointment specifics.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent service for internal colleagues, patients, physician offices, and hospital staff.
- Maintain exemplary professional and ethical standards through the successful completion of competency requirements and behavioral expectations.
- Adapt to evolving healthcare delivery demands, with flexibility in duties as designated by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a medical office setting is essential.
- Preferred candidates will have up to 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with medical office terminology and operational systems is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish represents an advantageous skill.
