Role Overview
We are seeking a Financial Controller for the new Taj Mangalore Resort & Spa located in Karnataka. This role serves as the key strategic financial leader for the property and is a vital member of the Executive Committee. The controller will spearhead the formulation and execution of strategies at the property level, ensuring that products and services align with the expectations of the brand's clientele and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic financial planning and contribute to decision-making processes by identifying business opportunities and improving profitability through cost-benefit evaluations.
- Forecast sales relative to expenses and design comprehensive annual budget plans, continuously analyzing actual versus projected financial outcomes.
- Review variances between actual and budgeted wages to facilitate efficient budget management.
- Dissect and interpret complex financial information by breaking data into components to uncover underlying insights.
- Innovate by formulating and executing new business initiatives that align with the company strategy.
- Create and manage the property's annual operating budget while supporting budget reviews to uncover cost-saving and productivity enhancements.
- Establish and maintain effective control systems to mitigate business risks, ensuring robust accounting and operational controls to protect assets and enhance profitability.
- Analyze financial data and monitor market trends to inform business strategy and operations.
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business plan aligned with the company's and brand's strategic objectives, while providing ongoing analytical support to monitor operational sales performance and produce accurate forecasts to adapt to market changes.
