- Conduct thorough investigations when claim liability is ambiguous, gathering evidence, reviewing medical reports, consulting stakeholders, and if necessary, commissioning further assessments.
- Approve the initial payments including PIAWE and weekly compensation as calculated by specialists.
- Ensure seamless transfer of accepted claims to dedicated case managers along with all pertinent information.
- Work closely with payroll departments to confirm earnings data accuracy for compensation payments.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from injured employees, guiding them on their rights and claim procedures.
- Communicate claim decisions clearly and empathetically to all involved parties, including employees and employers.
- Maintain compliance with workers’ compensation laws, self-insurance standards, and internal policies.
- Document all claim information accurately in the Assure system to support regulatory compliance and claims history.

- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on open communication, shared knowledge, and joint responsibility.
- Share expertise to support team learning and consistency in claims decisions.
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
