About the Role
The Yukon Department of Justice is recruiting a Client Support Worker for a full-time term appointment until March 31, 2027. This role serves as the initial touchpoint for victims of crime seeking assistance. The position involves working with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and client-centered approaches to assess immediate needs, provide crisis intervention, and conduct initial intakes. The Client Support Worker also supports Victim Services Workers by offering backup in court-related communications, managing client files, and handling administrative duties within the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for victims accessing support services.
- Provide compassionate front-line service including crisis response and intake.
- Collaborate with Victim Services Workers to deliver consistent support including court updates.
- Manage client records and support administrative requirements of the Victim Services Team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting Yukon First Nations, Indigenous peoples in Canada, LGBTQI2S+ individuals, BIPOC communities, or newcomers, with particular emphasis on Yukon First Nations.
- Background offering front-line services in crisis situations.
- Skill in referring and coordinating with other service providers to support clients comprehensively.
- Experience in administrative functions such as filing, record keeping, and maintaining program documentation.
