Chief Executive Officer - Data Centers

About the Role

We are searching for a distinguished Chief Executive Officer to steer the expansion of a private equity-backed data center development and colocation platform based in the United States. This pivotal leadership position demands shaping and driving the company's strategic direction across development, investment, construction, operational management, and market growth initiatives within the digital infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the long-range vision encompassing data center development, ownership, operational management, and market penetration strategies.
• Establish and manage a robust development pipeline that includes land acquisition, power sourcing, connectivity, regulatory planning, customer acquisition, and investment opportunities.
• Supervise the entire project life cycle—from identifying viable sites and conducting feasibility studies to design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations.
• Guarantee delivery of projects that meet stringent safety standards, timelines, budgets, technical requirements, operational performance, and commercial benchmarks.
• Maintain and cultivate strategic partnerships with hyperscale, cloud service providers, AI companies, colocation customers, enterprise clients, utilities, and other stakeholders.
• Lead commercial negotiations to optimize pricing, investment returns, and contractual relationships that enhance long-term platform value.
• Secure necessary capital through effective engagement with shareholders, investors, lending institutions, and financial collaborators.
• Assess and pursue strategic growth opportunities, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and entry into new markets.
• Drive operational excellence focused on availability, resilience, safety, security, sustainability, efficiency, and superior customer experience.
• Recruit, build, and inspire a high-performing leadership team fostering a culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, integrity, and excellence in execution.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience as a CEO or senior executive within data centers, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, or related infrastructure domains.
• Proven track record in managing, investing in, or operating data center assets or platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the full data center lifecycle including site acquisition, power procurement, planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies across diverse markets or geographic regions.
• Well-established relationships with clients in hyperscale, cloud, AI, colocation, enterprise sectors, utilities, investors, and strategic partners.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in customer negotiations, contract management, pricing strategies, partnerships, and business development.
• Experienced in capital raising, investor relations, project financing, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
• Successful history of delivering complex, high-value infrastructure projects adhering to budgets, schedules, and rigorous quality and safety standards.
• Deep financial, operational, governance, risk management, and regulatory expertise.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities with credibility to engage boards, investors, customers, governmental agencies, and technical teams effectively.
