Position Overview
The Business Process Analyst IV role supports the Revenue Accounting team by enhancing, automating, and maintaining revenue accounting processes, including accounts receivable (AR) reserve modeling and reporting systems. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Systems, the analyst will optimize the close process, manage Oracle ARCS transaction matching, lead billing system enhancements and testing, and develop Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) analytics and dashboards. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the company’s ongoing success with a focus on leveraging AI technologies like Claude to streamline and automate financial operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and automate AR reserve models and revenue accrual analytics covering bad debts, contractual adjustments, and allowances.
- Develop and automate internal and external revenue reports, analytics, and dashboards in OBIEE to monitor trends, variances, and identify risks.
- Manage Oracle ARCS transaction matching, including the development and testing of new auto-match rules.
- Lead billing system enhancements and testing to support revenue operations.
- Plan and execute end-to-end reporting system migrations, including data validation, parallel testing, and cutoff support.
- Automate and improve the reconciliation and management of patient refunds.
- Ensure SOX compliance through control testing, automation, and documentation.
- Provide audit support with adequate schedules, documentation, and response to audit inquiries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with patient care operations, FP&A, IT, and finance teams across Hanger’s subsidiaries involved in the revenue and receivables cycles.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting operations, financial systems, process improvement, or analytical roles.
- Experience in healthcare revenue cycle or patient care operations.
- Professional credentials such as CPA, CISA, or comparable certification.
- Familiarity with revenue accounting principles such as accruals, reserves, and receivables.
- Hands-on experience with OBIEE, Oracle ARCS, NextGen, or similar revenue cycle, reporting, and reconciliation systems.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building and automating financial models, reconciliations, and reports.
- Knowledge of financial reporting/ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
- Experience supporting migrations of data platforms or reporting systems, including cloud and data lake transitions.
- Proficiency with automation technologies, SQL, or scripting for process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability in using AI tools like Claude to enhance and automate finance-related processes.
