Applied Research Mathematician

Role Overview

The position involves planning, developing, coordinating, controlling, and executing tasks that focus on creating and applying methods to analytically solve problems across various fields. Emphasis is placed on precise relational understanding, rigorous and efficient operations, utilization of mathematical techniques, logical conclusions, and reasoning.

Experience and Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree along with two years of relevant professional experience. Relevant military experience can be counted at a multiplier of 1.25 times toward the required experience. Preferred degrees include Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science, with a requirement of at least 24 credit hours (equivalent to 2 years) of advanced mathematics coursework.

Job Requirements

The role includes designing, developing, utilizing, and assessing mathematical models, methods, or techniques such as algorithm development to investigate and address problems.
