Role Overview
Chandigarh University is looking to hire a Video Editor for its Mohali district office. The position focuses on producing polished, engaging video content across multiple digital platforms and campaign formats.
Core Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form video content tailored for Instagram Reels, political campaigns, YouTube Shorts, YouTube long-form content, Facebook, LinkedIn, and brand marketing videos.
- Build attention-grabbing edits that use strong openings, smooth transitions, captions, and motion graphics.
- Partner with the social media team to support campaign planning and execution.
- Apply color correction, sound design, background music, subtitle work, and basic visual effects as needed.
- Prepare versions of videos that are optimized for each platform’s audience and engagement style.
- Work efficiently during admission drives and event periods while keeping turnaround times fast.
- Organize footage, video assets, and project files in a structured manner.
- Keep up with current social media trends, editing approaches, meme formats, and AI-assisted video tools.
- Meet daily editing targets consistently.
- Create stylized text treatments in After Effects.
- Select shots and stock visuals with a strong eye for aesthetics and visual storytelling.
Experience and Skills Needed
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in editing short videos is required.
- Hands-on knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Photoshop is expected.
- Ability to work with social media video trends and adapt edits accordingly.
Compensation
The role offers an in-hand salary in the range of INR 30,000 to INR 45,000 per month.
