Role Overview

The Fall Venture Capital Intern position is a part-time remote role assisting with investment analysis and portfolio operations at LvlUp Ventures. Responsibilities include sourcing promising startup investments, conducting detailed market and competitor research, and performing preliminary due diligence on potential portfolio companies. The intern will also prepare investment documents and presentations, monitor portfolio metrics, and support internal reporting and knowledge management. Collaboration with team members on diverse projects, outreach to ecosystem and corporate partners, and contribution to internal tool development aimed at enhancing portfolio collaboration are key components. This role provides exposure to a variety of sectors and company stages, working closely with the investment team in an energetic entrepreneurial atmosphere.

Required Qualifications

• Strong skills in analysis and research including market dynamics, competition mapping, and financial data understanding.
• Excellent oral and written communication, capable of producing clear investment memos, presentations, and summaries.
• Proficiency in productivity and data applications such as Excel or Google Sheets, PowerPoint or equivalent, CRM, and pipeline management software, with a willingness to adopt new tools.
• Keen interest in venture capital, startups, and innovation across diverse sectors, with agility in learning new business models and technologies.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective multi-tasking in a remote and flexible part-time setting.
• Team-oriented with professional conduct, able to collaborate effectively within a global distributed group and with external stakeholders.
• Preferred but not mandatory experience in startups, finance, consulting, or technology through internships, projects, or other extracurricular activities.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from undergraduate or graduate programs relevant to Business, Finance, Economics, STEM, or related fields is advantageous.
