Job Overview
We are recruiting a Vendor Training Coordinator for a leading Oil & Gas operator on an initial two-year contract basis, with the possibility of extension. The role is residential, requiring onsite attendance five days per week at Ras Laffan Industrial City, working 10 hours daily.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Head of Technical Training.
- Collaborate with Operations Group management to identify and document short- and long-term technical training needs of employees.
- Assist section heads in creating an annual training plan and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate with the Training and Competency Lead to prepare the training catalogue and annual calendar.
- Identify necessary resources and materials to deliver effective technical training.
- Develop cost projections to support annual planning and budgeting processes.
- Facilitate training logistics including venue bookings, attendance tracking, and general support.
- Evaluate training effectiveness for all internal and external courses and provide recommendations to management.
- Manage training systems by following up on staff registrations, maintaining records in the Learning Management System (LMS), and compiling relevant reports.
- Create presentations and reports analyzing technical training data and resource utilization for senior management.
- Support sourcing of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vendors, external training providers, consultants, and specialists to ensure training quality and relevance.
- Coordinate delivery of technical skills training in line with contractual agreements, timelines, budgets, and logistics.
- Continuously assess and enhance training effectiveness, including leveraging internal subject matter experts to optimize manpower utilization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least eight years of experience in a training department focused on planning and delivering training programs.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation abilities.
- Proficient with SAP systems and full Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with learning management system software.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Skilled in leading meetings and negotiating with senior staff.
- Competent in spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation development.
Additional Information
- Work schedule is five days per week, approximately 10 hours per day.
- Location options include the Doha office or site at Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar.
- Start date is negotiable, generally requiring up to one month’s notice.
