About the Company
The company is a stealth-mode early-stage startup focused on building a community forum that connects human experiences for positive impact. The platform is planned for launch in Q3 2026. The core UI/UX design is mostly complete with opportunities for refinements. Further details will be disclosed after signing a nondisclosure agreement (NDA).
Role Overview
The founder has designed the main UI in Figma and developed initial front-end code using React Native. Additional feature implementations are required as the team prepares to launch and build user engagement for the community platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize expertise in Figma to manage end-to-end product design, from early concepts to high-fidelity and pixel-perfect mockups for both mobile and web applications.
- Design specifically for mobile platforms, ensuring compliance with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for iOS focusing on minimalistic flat design, clean visuals, and smooth animations.
- Ensure Android designs adhere to Google's Material Design principles, emphasizing elevation, motion, and responsiveness across diverse screen sizes.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to facilitate accurate developer handoff by providing detailed design specifications and necessary assets.
- Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify pain points and validate new features such as chat, content feeds, and posting functions.
- Refine UI and visual design components like icons, button states, color schemes, and typography that align with the brand identity.
- Iterate design rapidly by analyzing user data and feedback to improve retention rates and engagement levels.
Specific Product Focus: Relehelp
- Optimize content feed displays to enhance user engagement and increase time spent within the app.
- Create engaging micro-interactions and animations for interactive elements such as liking, sharing, and commenting.
- Design seamless onboarding flows that are fast, intuitive, and engaging to maximize new user acquisition.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity standards are met to make the platform usable by a wide range of users.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system with reusable UI components to ensure visual consistency as the product scales.
Compensation and Terms
The position is part-time initially with equity allocated on a vesting schedule. Salary will become available upon successful capital raise. The role is based onsite in Boston, MA.
