About the Role

We are collaborating with a partner organization based in Ireland to recruit a Usability Engineer specializing in User Science. Key Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative user research using methods such as usability evaluations, interviews, surveys, A/B tests, and data assessment to extract impactful insights.
• Interpret and distill research outcomes into well-structured reports, visual formats, and presentations suitable for technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Create lightweight prototypes, dashboards, automation scripts, or tools that boost the accessibility and scalability of user research processes.
• Partner with product development, engineering, and procedural teams to embed user-centered insights into product design and strategic choices.
• Contribute to refining research operations by developing standardized methodologies, documentation, protocols, and frameworks for sharing knowledge.
• Encourage a culture of ongoing learning by supporting user science projects, educational initiatives, and advocating research best practices across departments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Engineering, Data Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience attained through an alternative career path.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting both qualitative and quantitative user research across diverse methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills capable of interpreting research data and converting findings into actionable product advisories.
• Technical proficiency enabling understanding of engineering concepts and effective collaboration with technically skilled teams.
• Experience in creating research workflows, frameworks, or operational enhancements that improve efficiency and reliability.
• Exceptional written and oral communication abilities to clearly convey complex information to varying audiences.
• A portfolio showcasing user research, design, engineering, or related projects highlighting innovation, testing, and measurable impact.
• Preferred experience includes familiarity with Linux, cloud platforms, container technologies, Python tools for data analysis, open-source work, or principles of visual design.
